I have been working on several parts of WickedDesk over the past few days. You can now look much further back into a stock's history, find stocks making big moves alongside the news behind them, and follow economic developments directly in the app. Here is what I have added and how you can use it.
Chart histories spanning decades
What did Apple's chart look like in the eighties? And how did a stock behave during earlier crises?
Depending on the stock, Atlas now lets you look back as far as 1962. Apple's history, for example, goes back to 1980. You can study earlier advances, examine major declines and see how long a stock took to recover.
You also have more freedom to zoom and move around the chart. That is particularly useful for recently listed stocks with only a few weeks of price history.
This shows Apple during an earlier market period. Use the date range or jump to a date to examine past advances and declines.
Top Stocks and the news behind them
Top Stocks shows notable price moves in premarket trading, the regular session and after hours.
When a stock rises or falls sharply, I want to know whether there is a news story behind it. That is why relevant headlines appear alongside the stock whenever they are available. From there, you can open the chart and take a closer look at the move.
You can also look up earlier trading days. That lets you follow what happened to a stock that caught your attention, rather than forgetting about it a day later.
Each stock shows its price change and relevant headlines. Click the symbol to open its chart. Use the session selector to narrow the list to premarket, regular trading or after hours.
Economic data inside WickedDesk
Interest rates, inflation, employment and the money supply are part of how I follow the market. You can now find this data in WickedDesk too.
The macro view gives you a quick overview. If you want to look more closely, Economic data lets you choose from 168 data series and compare several of them. You could look at how inflation and interest rates have changed over the years, for example.
You can also bring the figures into the AI chat and ask questions about them. It saves you switching between several websites whenever you want to understand the economic context.

This example shows the US consumer price index over several years. The line represents the price level, not the annual inflation rate. You can change the period and add other data series for comparison.
Study seasonal patterns over longer periods
The seasonality view now covers much longer periods. For the S&P 500, the data goes back to 1970.
You can examine how individual months or specific periods performed in earlier years. You can also open the individual cases behind an analysis. I want to see when a pattern failed, too. An average alone does not tell the whole story.
The monthly analysis shows how differently individual months have performed in the past. Open the individual cases to see which years are behind the average.
Your watchlist on mobile
I have also reworked the mobile watchlist. You can open it directly from the bottom navigation, search for stocks and sort them by criteria such as upcoming earnings.
Search and sorting sit directly above your stocks in the mobile watchlist. The earnings information helps you see which company is due to report next.
